We did some blessing ceremony at Singapore Genius School Krabi last Friday. We invited 5 Buddhist Monks and they chanted some prayers and in the afternoon, we invited 5 Imams to our school and they recited some verses from the Koran. Prayer is recognizing who God is and offering Him glory, honor, and adoration.
Halloween will be celebrated on the 31st October. Link to our last year Halloween celebration. Do you have your spooky outfit ready? It’s going to be a lot of fun! Please be reminded that on 31st of October there are no sports activities. They have been cancelled, so that we can enjoy half a day of celebrations. School will end as usual at 4.15pm. This week we will do spelling test only for Friday as the students will have more time to prepare for their Halloween celebration. Our student Shayma has been tasked to organize this whole event. She has receiving a lot of support from her teachers and classmates to make this event a success.
Primary students are invited to come to school in costume. There will be a themed lunch and snacks prepared by Chef and his team! After the halloween lunch there will be a fashion show where students can parade their outfits. Shayma together with her deputies will organise a period of fun that the children can engage in during school hours. The cost of the event is FREE
Students learned the concept of push and pull. They enjoyed demonstrating by holding hands together while singing the song “row, row, row your boat” using their right hand to do the pushing and pulling. Children use their senses (touch, sight, smell, taste and hearing to explore the world around them. They explore by scanning their environment, touching and handling what they see, and listening to sounds and getting excited by unusual noises.
They were taught about the rules of handling or using the computer safely. Having some printed images that showed the rules was more helpful for them as they are still on the photographic stage. Children gain better understanding of the world around them when they find out why things happen and how things work by exploring and discovering relationships of change and growth, and of cause and effect.
Star Of the Week
Our Star of the week went to Fadel Inchun. Fadel has now been studying here for more than 6 months. He has made so much progress. Now for all his lessons he pays full attention and tries his best to do all that he can. We are so proud of Fadel. Well done Fadel!
