This is not compulsory, and only for those who want to enjoy the sports more. For the month of October, ASP is free.
Please encourage your kids to do homework, then the school will be a more fun place for the kids. Homework is an important aspect of the curriculum and of learning thoroughly at Singapore Nursery and Preschool. The homework schedule is intended to provide a structured framework that will support pupils in their development of well-organized work and study habits too.
Your child’s Homeroom teacher will share with you when homework is ‘handed out’ and when it is supposed to be completed by.
Likewise every child should at least make an attempt to complete the homework. As a parent it is necessary for you to take some time and oversee your child’s homework. The homework is there to consolidate what has been learnt in class and more; therefore, it is not necessary for you to teach the content to your child. If your child cannot complete the homework for whatever reason, please send a small message to your Homeroom teacher to inform him/her about why the child could not complete the homework. The homework is there to consolidate what has been learnt in class; therefore, it is not necessary for you to teach the content to your child.
Similarly research suggests that with younger children homework is most effective when it links directly to their lessons in school. Furthermore research also suggests that too much homework has little effect on learning outcomes. In actual fact it can have a negative effect. We try to have a healthy balance!
Science
At a young age, they got confused about what pulls and push mean, so they learned and understood the concept of pushing and pulling. They had fun demonstrating it in front of the class.
Computer
Technology is everywhere even for small kids. Most kids spend some time watching videos or playing games. This time, the computer was introduced and discussing its functions and the uses. This was more interesting to them.
Star of the Week
Our Star of the Week went to Warin. She has continuously shown that she could manage all activities in the class room. Warin is also very familiar with her numbers and alphabets. Well done Warin.
