This week we will start to implement some serious measures in the wake of the Coronavirus. We seek your kind understanding and hope you will support the school with any measures we implement. This will ultimately benefit you and your love ones. The news coming out from all the media channels point that we need to implement some serious measure. Please ensure that your child wears a mask when they come to school. Avoid all unnecessary travel and visiting crowded places. Please wash your hand more often and if you have any signs of a flu please visit a medical center immediately and not come to school. Any students with any sign of flu symptoms will be sent home.
This week we avoided all out door sports and instead did Zumba on Tuesday and Badminton on Friday. The Zumba is now schedule for just once a month on every last Tuesday of the month. Now that we are doing less the kids somehow are putting in more effort. For Badminton, all the kids have improved and they are able to keep the shuttlecock longer in the air. The kids are so happy whenever they know we are doing badminton. It looks like the badminton court at our school in Ao Nang will be put to full use when it is ready.
This week students had a serious conversation about death. With the unexpected passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, it was important to talk about what good citizens do in a time like this. Not just for celebrities but people they know. We discussed how each person honors the dead and talked about how it was important to accept that everyone has different beliefs about death and its important to respect that.
This week, we discussed blood and blood vessels. We tackled about their characteristics, functions, and types. Students did research about blood and its types, and did some answer worksheets regarding it. In discussing blood vessels, we use drawings and pictures to see the differences between the various types and functions of each. They also had to answer worksheets about blood vessels.
This week, we learned deeply about the differences between the three states of matter, which are, solid, liquid, and gas. Students differentiated those with examples and classified objects using what they learned in the class. They also did a picture gallery about it.
