Science Upper
We started by discussing the main parts of the circulatory system, which are blood, blood
vessels, and the heart. They learned the functions of each part and how they work together to give us energy and life every day. They also did worksheets about the vocabulary words related to the parts of the heart. This is for them to have an initial knowledge for next week’s topic which is “The Heart”.
Science Lower
This week, we studied about plants. The students had to
recite different plants they’ve known and categorized them if they are flowering plants or non-flowering plants. We covered an interesting topic on the life cycle of a plant and the needs of a plant to grow and live. They also did a word search for the names of other plants and words related to plants. This is for them to have a new vocabulary in their mind.
Thai
This week in Thai class, we learned about Thai conversation. In the class the teacher
explained how to speak and the teacher gave them an opportunity to speak with the teacher. This week we celebrated a special day, Teacher day. In class the teacher explained how important Teacher day is to Thai people and let them make cards to give to their teachers.
The students have been busy preparing for the Valentine Celebration. This project “By Students for Students” is run by 2 students because of their young age, Rajpal Tulsi and Kalavati. They are still firming up their plans and there are lots of discussions on the background. This is good as they are learning to trade their ideas and come up with the best plan.
Sports
This week we had lots of activities for sports. We went to BK Badminton court and did lots of hitting of the shuttle cocks. Its great that the school has added a badminton court in the new school. The students seem to enjoy this sport. On Thursday, we did swimming at a hotel near our school. Its a large pool and its good for our kids. Most of the kids are able to swim the whole length of the pool and while the others are still learning under the guidance and coaching of Teacher Peter.
