Week 22 Singapore Genius School Krabi – Fun Nursery Education
We welcome the durian season by having a durian feast for the students. It was really yummy. The new kids have more or less settled to their new environment and seemed more friendly. They are beginning to understand school and they are having fun around familiar people.
We started the day by greetings songs and then followed by action songs. We practiced again the sounds of the letters from the alphabet through songs for them to familiarize each letter before they had gone through their phonics books for writing and coloring.
Counting numbers 1-20 and backward with the use of certain objects and number cards helps them to identify numbers. They can work with numbers up to 10 with understanding and still trying their best to cope up until 20.
Before we touched their activity books, we first reviewed the last lesson we had which they successfully answered simple questions. Then we sang songs like “head shoulder knees and toes” which actions pointed with some parts of the body. Then I introduced to them the “eyes” that are part of our senses in our body and discussed the importance and how to take good care of it.
Today they had the fun of making flowers with different colors. They are still practicing how to move the mouse pad without any assistance. Some of them can do better and some of them still need help because they were too young to control their hands.
We practiced this song ‘Glowing Inside’ all over again for them to familiarize each lyric. It is very much important for them because as they grow music will play an important part in their lives as they can express their emotions through it.
The kids were tasked to create a Spy Robot. The kids were excited when they could get the Spy Camera to make funny noises and change the colors. The really enjoyed Genius Robotic
